Bringing great financial education content to Virginia

The Credit Union Cares Foundation of Virginia and Currency Marketing have collaborated on a fundraising agreement to promote the popular It’s a Money Thing financial education content program to credit unions in Virginia. Ten percent of all sales from the “It’s a Money Thing” program in Virginia will be donated directly to the Credit Union Cares Foundation of Virginia in support of its financial education efforts.

“This is a terrific opportunity for your credit union to provide a fun and entertaining financial education program that educates young adults while also raising funds for other financial education projects at the same time. It’s a real win-win.”
— Roger Ball, Chairman, Credit Union Cares Foundation of Virginia

Grounded in research and consumer need

Currency is collaborating with the Filene Research Institute to pilot It's a Money Thing. More than 20 credit unions from all over the United States and Canada signed up to participate in the pilot and we are now in the data-collection phase. Expect a comprehensive research report to be published by late 2015. While the pilot is now full, your credit union is still encouraged to subscribe to the It's a Money Thing financial education content.

Grounded in Filene's extensive research in this critical and developing area, It's a Money Thing will help your credit union engage and build relationships with young adults (Gen Y) while helping them become financially capable.
