Larissa Walkiw joins Currency!

I am excited to announce that Larissa Walkiw has joined Currency as a full-time graphic designer and illustrator. You may remember Larissa as our very first Young & Free Alberta Spokester and the creator of the original Difference Between Banks and Credit Unions video series way back in 2008. At the ripe old age of 19, she put Young & Free on the credit union map. Six years and 30 Spokesters later, it's an absolute thrill to have Larissa join our team.

Larissa has settled in British Columbia after recently completing a BFA in Graphic Design in Chicago. We began talking a couple of months ago about some potential freelance work and I knew on the spot that I wanted Larissa as part of our team. She accepted the offer and for the past month or so, we've been working hard on a really exciting new product that we will be launching at the Financial Brand Forum next week in Vegas. I will be revealing all of the details here on the Currency blog as well, so stay tuned!
