We interrupt this normally selfless, usable, information-filled blog, for a purely selfish commercial. Loyal blog followers, please support me!
Trabian (the folks behind Open Source CU) and Forum Solutions are hosting a credit union conference in Indianapolis on October 3 and 4 and they are holding an open audition for their last speaker spot. I figured I would give it a shot. Here is the original post on Open Source CU so you can see what I am talking about.
I discovered Open Source CU when I was following blogs by fellow Canadians Gene Creelman and Barry Delaney as they traveled through Africa earlier this year helping African credit unions. Both of these fine gentlemen have been great clients at Envision Financial over the years, so I followed with interest. Gene's blog happened to be on Open Source CU where I was immediately captivated by this open forum and sharing of ideas.
To make a long story short, in addition to managing our business well, I made three simple goals at the beginning of this year: blog more, write more and speak more. If you have been reading this blog, you can see that I am keeping up with goal one. if you are subscribing to our e-newsletter, you can see that I am keeping up with goal two. Now, I need your help to ensure that I keep up with goal three!
So, in the spirit of Napoleon Dynamite's Vote 4 Pedro campaign, I have taken matters into my own hands with the help of modern Web tech (a.k.a. Youtube). So, if you want to help out, leave a comment in support of my campaign on Open Source CU!
Hey, it's all in good fun and done with tongue firmly in cheek! Vote 4 Tim.
