Three Reasons Why I Want (GOOD) Mobile Banking

Despite my attempts to keep my life (financial and otherwise) organized, I often find myself scrambling at the cash register—do I have enough money to splurge on a drink with coworkers? Did my check get deposited? Mobile banking is one way of reaching out to your member's that is going to become increasingly important in the coming years—heck, for me it's important right now. Here's a few reasons why I (and several of my peers) use mobile banking, sometimes even more than online banking.

Auto DMs Suck and If You Use Them You Might Suck, Too

By virtue of the work that I do, I spend a lot of time on Twitter. I keep Tweetdeck and the official Twitter app open on my Macbook through out the day, and check in every few minutes to see what's going on. Social media is a (relatvely) new frontier, so many businessses and companies are still figuring out best practices to get the most use out of their networks, and I totally understand that.

This week we celebrated International Credit Union Day - what do you do? One thing that we as credit union professionals can get hung up on is the (dare I say?) boring part of finances. Spreadsheets, loans and balanced checkbooks are great, but man cannot live on member services alone!
